why is it that ur eyes might need glasses if you work on the computer for a good amount over a period of time?

Over stimulation - My OD says you can delay this by walking away from your computer every 45 minutes and letting your eyes rest on non lit items like photos and art. If you are at an office and leaving every 45minutes isn't possible try doing some paperwork for those 10 minute intervals.

because your not focusing so much on a range of things at different distances, its called accomodation i think.
One of the reasons for sore eyes when using a computer is because u dont blin so much. But you should take breaks now and again.

It works just like a TV.If your eyes take in enough static energy, your eyes will weaken. Then Eyeglasses will kick in. Trust me, I wear eyeglasses and I got them from the TV and computer.

its the radiation from the comp. It causes your muscles in your eyes to to work for way too long, either get a flat screen, they radaite less, or dont go on the comp. so much!!!
