After a few minutes, someone notices that she is wearing NO PANTS and she is thrown out. Is this fair or should the bar have to change its sign?

This actually happened a few months ago!

hahahaha! A while back I was eating at Burger King with an old friend and a dude walked in in just his boxers boots and a shirt!! I laughed out loud on that one. I guess Bk is diferent from a bar, but at least they stay true to their word, "Have it your way"!

Yes this is fair.
You said it your self, "a nightshirt", as in pajamas or lingerie, as opposed to "a dress" or "skirt". Since she was not wearing a bottom outerwear garment, it is considered to be a violation, indecent exposure. I suppose that every business could change the sign to state:
Proper attire mandated for clientele, and non-clientele. A shirt, pants, and shoes, or a blouse, skirt and shoes,or a dress and shoes, or a shirt, shorts and shoes, or . . . . .
(Twenty thousand lawyers, several billion dollars, and a decade later we would have a sign containing every possible combination of clothing, at which point Massachusetts and the ACLU would object to a store not allowing a man in a see-through-mini-dress to work in the deli department.

I think the bar should change its sign. It didnt specify that pants were necessary to be served, and if the lady had on just above her knees nightshirt, she was good to go. Just ask Brittany.

frankly, i believe that she could either be too dumb, stupid or wasted to go there and wear what she wore that night! if it was her desperate way to get attention, then she is successful! she got everyone's attention and then some! lol. but if she came inside the bar to get some help because something happened to her outside that caused her wearing only a shirt and no pants on (she could also be harrassed or assaulted) and she was asking for help, then i pity her. the management of the club should have investigated first before throwing her out on her ***!

i think they should change the sign. Although the bar can kick out who they please, if she was not doing anything that annoyed other people she followed their rules, and should not be kicked out. The rules make no mention of pants, so they need to be fixed...
