Well if it;s causing an arguement then you should stop it for a while, go on occasionally. I don't think he is gonna be convinced anyway. I know how you feel, I get this off my boyfriend all the time about the internet! grr, bloody men always telling us what to do. But don't get yourself addictive because you've won once, it may not happen again for a long time. Perhaps he was miffed because you spent £20 without saying and it's xmas soon. If he is just being melodramatic take away his telly and lager.

If this is causing a problem in your personal life then you do have a problem. Admission is the hardest step and self knowledge the most painful. You don't need to convince him............but you.

He's wrong in as much that Bingo is 'not a con.' It's a game of chance, and as such your beating the odds right now, but they will correct themselves and you will 'donate' eventually. At that point your arguments might become based on the financial aspects of the situation.

Play, enjoy, but set a limit to the time and amount you play. He's at the pub, go on-line, but don't let the game exclude those you love; it wont love you back!

What makes you think that you are not addicted?
If you don't think that having an argument about playing bingo is a problem then you are on slippery slope where this particular problem will only get worse. The first step is admitting that you have a problem even though this problem might not be an addiction.

I doubt it's a con if it's from a known company like gala or the other one.
I won $1200 on roulette on holiday in Australia. If spending the last two nights of your trip at a five star hotel is being an addict, bring it on.

I dont gamble, but I think that to win so much is fabulous.

Over a period of weeks or months - to spend 20 quid is no big deal, if you enjoy it :-)

does he go fishing or play darts? possibly golf or some other "male" hobby? if related to any of those, then your interest (and the amount that you spend) is of no concern to anyone.

Try to use these analogies? I wish you good luck and I wish you great luck in the bingo :-)

Merry Christmas xx

Just set youself a firm limit, and never go above it in a night/week.
let him see you playing, use the net openly, in the same room as he watches tv so he's part of it.
Suggest both going to the real thing?
Just be open, dont get carried away by winnings, as long term, its entertainment, which hopefully you may break even on. He knows this, and that youll spend that money, back on the site...and more, albeit over time. Equate this entertainment spend to his beer money? and please....online gambling can be madly addictive! do be sensible!

if you develop a bad drug habit he won't see the gambling as so bad and worry more about the fact that you've started given head for crack.
