Whenever anyone asks a doggy problem question, the answers are always excellent. I am going out to get a tee shirt with "I love Yahoo dog Lovers" made up.....

Dog lovers are amazing, that's why.
If someone doesn't like dogs, I have a hard time trusting them.

I've had dogs for many years and wouldn't be without them BUT there are some awful people who loved their dogs (e.g. Hitler and his GSD Blondin or the yob who cried when his Staffie was put down after he encouraged it to rip a cat to shreds?).
It's also well known that a lot of people have problems relating to other people but they get on better with animals. So - no - I don't agree with you despite the fact that I love my dogs and like to help askers with their problems.
My dogs are well socialised and there are dogs that we walk with that mine have known all their lives. My dogs recognise the other dogs' names and show pleasure and excitement when they meet which I love to see. So I accept quite happily that my dogs have canine friends but I don't like cloying over-sentimentality and the thought of dog weddings makes me cringe.
Marriage in the Christian sense is a holy institution designed for the procreation of children. In the civil sense it is a public commitment between two adults and is legally binding and also brings with it certain property rights as in civil partnerships.
Dogs getting married ???!!!
A Christian marriage ceremony or even a mock one would be a gross slur on the Church and a civil ceremony both tasteless and pointless.
Most qualified canine behaviourists will agree that problem behaviours in dogs are often caused by a lack of understanding of canine behaviour and by owners attempting to apply human values to their pet dogs. Dogs should be treated and respected for what they are - loyal, loving companions but, most of all, DOGS!

The scary thing is that a lot of dog lovers , if they are honest, will tell you that they care more about dogs than people. Except for good friends, I have to admit that I am in that crowd!
I am a groomer and part time Pet store Manager.....
DOGS RULE....

Well they say dogs bring joy to people's lives and increases our lifespan! :) Well pets in general do, but if I had to rank animals, I think I would rank my dogs as first because of the loyalty and affection my dog offers over all other pets I've ever owned. It's no surprise people who love their pets will also be nice and kind here on Yahoo! :) Horray for our dogs!

I agree totally! This is my animal family: 1 Great dane, 2 Pugs, 1 Dachund, 1 Sheepdog and 1 "pavement special". Also we have 2 parrots and 3 fishes. It looks like a zoo at our house.

a dog will give you unconditional love be there for you if your sad cheer with you if your happy..he doesnt care whether you are rich poor black white male or female he loves you for you and all he asks for in return is love food and shelter so that is why dog folk are more likely to help other folk as they are secure in the knowledge that they are loved and want to share that feeling....but you find out about someone being cruel to a dog then you will see the other side of the coin and dog folk will stand up and be counted to try and stop all forms of cruelty to dogs or any animal.....as they give so much and ask for so little in return...

Dogs are the best, I help at an animal shelter when I am not working and it is very rewarding, this particular one doesn't put the animals down unless they are really sick or injured and are very successful in finding homes for them. I hate the ones that put them down after 2 weeks if they don't find their owners/homes

Well, I believe that dog lovers are more compassionate and loving and tend to answer questions with more thought. I myself, am dog lover and I feel that having my dogs with me really keeps me in a upbeat mood.

Yeah... they are usually helpful and rightfully irate when people ask borderline stupid questions about caring for animals... some people are just ignorant and shouldn't have pets though. I am a dog person and have answered a few on here...
