The collection plates are full. The Catholic Church has millions for lawsuits, but what don't they have is any money to give to the poor people of Mexico ? Why want the Cathlolic's take care of each other ? There are more than enough members in America to supply any help to any families in Mexico who might need this help without them enduring very much hardship.

The Catholic Church has for years been getting bolder about spreading their agenda but they still hide behind their tax-exempt status. I think that any church no matter what denomination should automatically lose their tax-exempt status if it can be proved that they have broken the law. Hidding illegals and giving them aide qualifies as breaking the law.

I'm a Catholic, and there are many Catholic refugee aid centers, including one about 20 miles from my home. Tons of help has been given to immigrants. The Church also helped the waves of immigrants who came over in centuries past. When my family arrived in the US from Italy, a Catholic relief group fed them on their first night here. It's very clear that you're not a Catholic, or you'd know that Catholics have done more for immigrant relief, disaster relief, and other charitable ventures than most other groups put together. In almost every service, a second collection plate is passed to collect funds for the needy. Money is also sent to Mexico and other countries, but for some reason, the Church (as least locally) seems a bit more concerned at present with helping the people after they arrive here than when they're back at home. Anyhow, Catholic charities have given many millions of dollars to people all over the world.

I always wondered the same thing. I've read in Mexico the Catholic Church must accept money from the drug cartel. I just know they try to give people a recipe for life. Catholic's seem to live by a set of rules they invited themselves and have no regard or concern for any laws of any other country.

Being Catholic I have discovered this faith is totally for the Illegals! In Washington, DC the Organization Catholic Charities are suppose to help the less fortunate, however they give more aid to the Spanish community (mainly the illegals) and not once are willing to help those put money in the collection plates!

In Long Island there is a place called Catholic Charities and they help house and support illegal aliens,so,to say the catholic church doesnt support illegals is untrue.I for 1 disagree with helping illegal aliens,I think we have MORE than enough here already. The police do nothing, the INS does very little, and politicians avoid answering hard questions about what to do.The problem with illegals should be adressed by our state and federal government. It shows a grave injustice to the american people that a police officer has the right to give you a $75 ticket for an overdue inspection while the diner across the street has a half a dozen illegal aliens working in it,not paying taxes, not paying social security, draining medicaid,....but,hey,welcome to america baby, dont worry, were charitable,we can pay your way too!

Mexico is not the only country that has poor people! Believe it or not... America has millions of people who are considered poor. We must help our own people & other countries must do the same. It's just that simple. You are right... the Catholic church does have millions, but if they should help the poor, they should help the poor of the world. Not just Mexico. Mexico is getting enough help from unwilling, tax-paying Americans.

Don't worry, they never will either. The Catholic church has enough gold to support a whole 3rd world country. I personally have never heard the church speak badly about illegals. They actually have several advocacy groups that help them learn English and get their papers sorted out legally.

The Catholic Church is all about numbers and $$$$$$$$$$$$$, most of the illegal immigrants are both from Mexico and Catholic.

You bring up a very good point. The collection plates or bakets are NOT full. The Church does not have millions to give to the poor because they are having to settle out of court.

i guess the Protestant faiths need to feed the poor.

Well, I see it like this: Why should God keep supporting us, when all we do is take? When we can't have the ten commandments in a court house because some atheist doesn't like it, because it represents something that they did negatively in there life, then I'm not gonna feel like these foreigners care about what they do for them. Maybe the churches have better places to put their money, or God may have even turned his back on us already. It's regular people like you and me that run these organizations. So lets face the facts; we haven't earned our wings yet!
