I agree with all the previous answers...
Taking the dog to your vet may be an expensive experience but do you want her (him?) to suffer?
My beagle who is 9 1/2 has a problem with one of her back legs. She seemed to be almost as badly off as your dog. I took her to the vet who said that without x-rays (without anaesthesia they could not get a her leg straight enough to get pictures) they could not say for sure. I did not want her to go through the anaesthesia so they sold me some medication to help her naturally restore joint mobility.
To make a long story short, the vet finally determined that it was arthritis. I currently am treating her with:
1) 2 daily doses of Aspirin (the low dosage one they give to heart patients - 1 tablet per meal) and
2) 2 daily doses of MSM/Glucosamine/Chondroitin complex (I am in Canada so it's 500 milligrams per meal - I don't know the U.S. equivalent...sorry)
I have advised the vet of the regime and she has approved it. It saves me from expensive prescription meds (I buy at drug store or bulk food store). My dogs is doing great...she still occasionally needs help getting on the couch...but some days, so do I...LOL...
I WOULD NOT HOWEVER FOLLOW THIS REGIME IF MY VET DID NOT FEEL THAT IS WAS APPROPRIATE. These are questions to ask your vet.

she has hurt the leg and most likely a pull tend en. and not using it all the time and holding it up causes muscle lost. my seventeen year old Chihuahua had a opertion on her left hind leg and l was glad that l took her to the vet as soon as l seen the problem because the leg may had draw up and stay that way. and then she could never use it again

Well if your dog is losing muscle mass and she is 10, I would have her looked at by the vet, she probably has injured it and does not want to put any weight on it now. I would strongly recommend that you have the leg/knee examined. Good Luck.

The obvious answer is - you can take her to the vet. No one here can see your dog so no one can possibly know what her problem is!
