JNISSI - You miss the point. Yes they want a better life, I have no problem with that. Millions of immigrants came to the US to get a better life, but they are not Illegal, they became US Citizens!

masterpredat0r and efrain g- we don't close our gates to immigrants, we have an issue with ILLEGAL immigrants. It may be capitalism to hire workers, like illegals, for less money but it still does not justify why they come here nor is it right for Americans!

If you are proud of your heritage, then why do you come here? For a better life, right? right. So what are you proud of then? Your country?, your country is corrupt and poor, really screws you, no opportunity. So you are proud of your heritage, beautiful land, wealth of resources, culture, language, ethnicity? Well that's fine. I'm proud of my heritage too. So what's the problem? The problem is that Mexico is not helping it's people. It's people seek opportunity elsewhere, namely here in the U.S. Well it would be fine if Mexicans came here and assimilated, learned English and planned on sticking around, but that's not happening. No, they come here and get all that they are lacking in their own country. America is great and gives to them, we all give, we don't want to be mean. Afterall, we are the greatest nation in the world. But after a while you can see the effect that massive migration north has on a country. Our country is under attack. What I hear from them is that we aren't accepting enough. We should overlook their illegal occupation and illegal hirings, and give benefits, and education, and health care, and never mind their lack of proper ID, and not too serious crimes, etc. We should give more, we should grant amnesty, and we should all learn Spanish. Yeah, and this was Mexico's land before the evil white man stole it. You know what? What a bunch of garbage. We were nice and now it's come back to bite us.

If you really look at the whole picture, it's insane. I challenge the Mexican people to take all that desperation, anger, sense of entitlement, and just general enthusiasm and channel it into Mexico. Viva la revolution amigo! That is your proud homeland, and we support you 100%! Go with that, change your country for the better, we will help you. Don't complain about us, don't try to change America into Mexico. What good is a bigger Mexico?

Illegal immigration is a temporary fix and a permanent destruction of all that America stands for. Stand up for the working American class and put an end to multi-national corporations that benefit from cheap labor.

Well, seeking better life standards is a good reason to me. but thats just me. Unemployment and underemployment are the main reasons illegal immigrants are in the USA. Also many of the comments i saw said that illegal immigrants only cause crime and make the US a shittier place. well thats just prejudice.

i dont support illegal immigrants crossing the US border from mexican soil. but i also dont support some redneck shooting harmless people just because they say its their territory. Ive also heard comments (not here but other places) of Mexico not giving a damn about trying to solve this problem. Well im mexican that lives in mexico and although there is still a long way to go, there have been efforts to improve employment here in Mexico. I hope that with Calderon as president now, employment will increase here in Mexico.

Do you know how would ur inflation rates would be if there were no illegal immigrants in the USA?? Of course some illegal immigrants cause crime but the same way some white and some black us citizens cause crime in the US. Many of the comments ive read kind of blame the illegal immigrants for many of the social and security problems the US has.

Uve got to admit it its hard, its been just a bit more than 10 years since Mexico went through a very harmful economic crisis and the devaluation of the peso, and now interest rates are lower than ever, GDP and economic real growth are at historically high levels, inflation levels are even lower than in the US, the Peso is very very stable, staying most of the time at 10.50-11.50 pesos for a dollar. This facts should bring more enterprises and businesses to invest here in Mexico, not only that but it also should reduce poverty, but that isnt something that can happen in just a year. It takes time.

Okay first of all you should know that I am an illegal supporter. But before you judge me, listen to my story. I know that there are illegals that cause problems in some places like california. BUT, also there are black americans that cause problems everywhere, there is white trash everywhere that causes problems, etc. You see what I am saying? It's not just Mexicans, Guatemalans, and other illegals. All types of people cause problems like rape, murder , robbery, etc. no matter the race, or legalness of a person, there is always a Bad apple in every group. Anyway- another reason that I support illegals is that My husband is one. He is a very good person, he is a wonderful husband and father. And a hard worker. He applied for papers almost a year ago, then went back to Mexico to wait,and he is still in Mexico waiting for them! Our lives are very difficult without each other, only because he needs a piece of stupid paper! I go visit him every 3 months, but it's getting too expensive! So that is why I am pro for illegals. Also I have alot of really good friends that are illegals.

No, Illegal Immigrants cant give a better reason, cause thats the same reason everyone came to america, unless your filthy rich then its just to take shits on the little guy. But seriously, if they had a better reason than life sucks where they are at than they would use it. If you ask me its all just bull anyway. Illegal immigrants do do the work that others wont so, if they left who would pick the crops? But on the flip side, is it fair that an illegal immigrant doesnt contribute to the american economy, they send most of theyre money back to familys in other countrys to help support them, and dont pay taxes, yet want drivers liscences and other such luxurys?Its really just a matter of making a better way for migration, and coming up with migratory workers programs that tax those workers when they make money in the US.

A reason why immigrants come to the U.S.A. is to help their family members in their native country. Immigrants are the back bone to this country. This country was founded by immigrants (white Eastern Eurepeans to be exact) by being anti-immigrant does not make sense. America depends on immigrants every day. According to the U.S. Census Burea if every immigrant in the U.S. were to quit working for one month the U.S. economy will go down the drain. You white Americans will not have the petty luxuries you have today. Plus this country was never yours; it belonged to Native Americans and Mexicans.

I think its hilarious that a country that was founded by immigrants who left their homeland now closes its own gates to other immigrants. The reason many illegal immigrants come to the US is because it is relatively easy to aquire a job in the US thanks to its capitalist government. The reason many "real" americans are angry at these immigrants is because they are willing to do the same job for less money, hey guess what, THATS how capitalism works. Please don't say the US is the only country in the world were you have freedom of speech, it is one of many countries that has that right.
