Who can honestly say unless they know them or can read their thoughts. I do not compare women or females to toys. The name Barbie that holds no bad meaning for me. Parents have named their daughters with it because they felt it meant beauty and worth to them. People will use whatever names they choose according to their definition with a desire to get the expected reaction. I heard a woman refer to a bride as a Barbie doll. After a few minutes, the woman repeated it while adding the explanation of how beautiful she looked for her wedding Without the unsolicited explanation, I would not really know her meaning behind the name.

It could be both. GOOD; You are pretty and have an awesome figure like a barbie doll. BAD; You are stuck up and act fake. It depends if that person is a close friend it means good but if you are not friends and you did something to them or anything its bad.

It depends on the context in which the comment was said. It could mean that they think you're pretty, but alot of times I've seen it used to refer to someone that is one or a combination of several things: superficial, prissy, fake, sometimes airheaded, etc. If it bothers you so much you could maybe try asking the person who said it what they meant, although chances are they might get smart with you if it was meant as a bit of an insult. I wouldn't worry about it to much though honestly.

I here that all the time, with a name like Dolly, people often relate me to a barbie. If your name is not doll oriented, you just strike them as being barbie-ish.It could mean two things,It could mean that you are perfect, your hair,make-up,cloths,you always look like a million bucks,on the other hand it might mean they think you look fake.A way to figure out which one they meant is to think of the person who said it,if they often compliment you, they meant it in a good way,if they often make fun of your looks, they are jealous of you,are self conscious, and tried to hurt you by calling you fake.

in the event that they are asserting you're a Barbie then no it is not a compliment. yet once you look as though Barbie then specific i could say it particularly is. Barbie is the superhuman epitome of tremendously. ridiculously tall, with spectacular curves and boobs.

if someone is a man then that is a compliment, because for a man barbie is perfect figure for a woman.
if someone is a woman means she really hates you, because nowadays barbie is no more than object for torture and mutilation for girls, who else in that room,if she say that thing in front of other woman's thats mean she is making a command to attack you,or your not acceptable in their community.good luck.
