hi. Male birds are usually more colorful. you can not "see" any male parts. Cheeks on some breeds are brilliant orange or red, yellow or black.
Females are normally bland, with no colored cheeks.

it depends. If it's a cockatiel, if it has a yellow head, it's a male. Gray, female. Parakeets, if their nostrils are blue they're a male and if pink, a female. In smaller birds it's by coloring, you don't say what kind of bird you have.. a large macaw, the colors are the same, you need to bring a feather to your vet, they will send it to a lab, and tell you the sex..
