I have a friend who as we get close she touches me more. Like when we talk she'll put her hand on my shoulder or slide her hand down my arm or taps my hand or something like that. I have a tendancy to scowl and today she noticed that and she put her hand on my forhead to "rub away" my scowl. I don't know if she does this with anyone else, but I haven't noticed it at work. and when looking at something she'll put her arm on my shoulder and lean on me or stand really close to where her body is touching mine.
I've never been around someone whose touchy, feely so I don't know. i do kind of get a vibe that she's into girls, but then again she's a very outgoing person and will talk to anyone. So i don't know if she's just being nice or not. Yes, I'm a girl and i like her. But do straight or not, girls do this to friends or to people they like? She does call me names like, dude, man, babe, hon a lot. I don't know if that's a culture thing or what?

just wanted to add a couple details. She has mentioned her ex-boyfriend a couple times. She's very pretty and girly. But it's like she's a tom boy girlie. Does that make sense? I mean, she dresses really girly but her personality is kind of tom boyish. But like yesterday she was talking to someone in the back seat and i walk driving and she puts her hand on my upper arm and says something and her hand slides down my arm. or when i'm sitting and she's standing and we're looking at something she'll just rest her hand on my shoulder. and sometimes when we're talking our eyes will meet and lock. and the whole scowling thing, whenever I scowl, she always points it out with a quick, "scowl!" to remind me to stop. I don't know. I like her and all. Maybe I do like her more than a friend too because to be honest I like it when she touches me. Not a lot of people do that.

That is hard to tell. Me and my best friend (girl) touch each other when we talk. But yours sounds a little more intimate. We also call each other dude etc....but we are both very straight with kids and all. I would say that if she is your friend, you should just let her know in a nice way that you aren't really a touchy feely kinda person. Let her know that it's not her, but you are uncomfortable with anyone touching you alot. You are more of a respect my space kinda person. That you don't mean to hurt her feelings as a friend, that it's just one of your quirks. Her reaction may answer the underlying question here. If she is just a touchy feely friend she should respect that you are being honest with her. If she seems to be very upset, then maybe she had different feelings about you. Either way you can always express to her that she is a good friend, and that's important to you. If she says she has other feelings for you, then tell her that you are straight and understand, but can't feel that way about her. My gay friends are very open and they know who and how I am. They have never held it against me. We are very close. Just always be honest with her and with yourself. Good Luck and Happy Holidays.

That's a tough call. My friends tease me all the time that I flirt equally with both men & woman, but the fact of the matter is I'm completely straight & have never been remotely close to being a relationship with someone of the same sex. I'm just not interested in women that way. But I'm very outgoing & I like people to know they are loved. So I touch a lot, talk a lot, listen a lot & call everyone baby. It might look like flirting on the outside but anyone who spends anytime with me especially around me & my man are quick to realize it's nothing of the kind, it is just open loving friendliness. I don't know what is up with this girl but you might want to be careful. Why don't you just ask her if she's into girls?

Girls are always more touchy-feely when they like you. When she is touching you and holding your arm, she's really somewhat more than flirting with you. Invite her to a sleepover at your house. Buy some booze and weed. If she has feelings for you, they'll come out then. Trust me. Been there, done that! Give me all the details!

I always think you can feel when someone is attracted to you, I think she is testing the waters to see if you will respond. If you want to see, say out of the blue one day about how much you cant stand lesbians and bi sexual girls and see if she continues to be touch feely. If she does she is just a touchy, feely person, lol.

Okay, *I* am touchy feely and I have never done the things you are describing to anyone other than someone I was interested in. "Touchy-feely" means that you hug or stand in close contact with the person...no rubbing involved.

I hate to break the news, Yes she is into you, she is a lesbian. If you are not one or would not like to be one. I suggest be nice and firm that you are not into females and do not touch me any more, and say there will be some one else out there for you and walk away from her for awhile until she gets the message that you perfer guys not females.

All you gotta do is this. Next time she touches you, tell her it made your ni**les tingle. I know that's pretty brash but try it. Her reaction will clear things up a bit. If she gets disgusted play it off as a joke. If she likes the sound of that she'll let you know.

It really depends on the two girls I mean I have ment girls that are like that that are in to me and do that stuff and I know girls that are my freidns and do that stuff too. I guess its just a thing I don't think she would be doing it to try adn not be nice there are much worse ways she could be doing that.

That's a bit awkward. Me and my friend hit each other a lot for fun, but never touchy cause im not gay. I'm not saying this to offend you, but is she by any chance lesbian? No offence really. I'm just getting these thoughts.
