Sometimes ringworms start of small and expand. Do you have cats, because they can come from them. A doctor's visit would be highly recommended.

Ugh, go to the doctor. There are all kinds of parasites and infections...get it checked out. If you've been traveling lately, be sure to tell the doctor. Like, if you've been swimming in the tropics, or you've been living in a rain forest or something like that. Anything a little unusual.
If something comes up while you're traveling, get it checked out in that area first. Many times, local doctors are far superior at dealing with local problems--they deal with it all the time and know how to fix it. Sometimes, you don't even need a doctor--not all parasites require an MD to be treated. Better to get somebody who recognizes a problem than to wait until you get home and your regular doctor hasn't a clue.
Plus, foreign doctors and healers are sometimes super-cheap. Less overhead, cheaper (or non-existent) malpractice insurance, cheaper meds...you can get good treatment sometimes for way less than you might in the US. At least check out your options.

Could still be ringworm or another parasite. There are many rare strains. I would have it checked out either way.

don't know what it is, but sounds like she needs to have an exam for that area. Doesn't sound good that is for sure.
