Since I gained 8 pounds this year, I think it might be.

It depends on what the excesses are. Can we have too many alcoholic drinks or too much food? Yes. Can we be too kind to people or have too many dear friends? Well, I don't think so. It sort of gets back to common sense (which I know can be subjective), but when our behavior includes habits that are harmful in excess--then they are bad, but being a healthy and good person who enjoys an excess of happiness by living a good life---I think that is just fine.

Depends on what it is. The operative word is "too," that indicates an excess with a negative connotation. Can one have too much money? No. Too much sex? I don't think so. Other than that, too much can be bad for you.

Even the best of certain physical things in moderation. Example: uncontrolled sexual activities, too much food. Other things inside us appear harmless no matter how much we have: Love, good will, sense of well-being. The internal things can prolly never be harmful in plenitude.

having to much of something would indicate that it could be bad for you on the other hand it go's both ways, not having enough makes little things important and having to much makes the little things invisible strike a balance and win both ways.

Much depends on the "good thing!" But in my experience, I'd have to say probably usually.

Imaging anything you like. Imagine it 24 hours a day 7 days a week. No imagine it for a year like that. You are either dead from it, bored from it, or can't stand to look at it anymore.

I'm afraid so - I believe the logic is that if you have too much then it will lose its value and therefore your appreciation by being less of a "treat"

Yes. What's more fattening...1000 calories worth of chocolate or 1000 calories worth of bananas?
