I would say you are not guilty but the very human and caring side of you feels remorse for the seagull and there is nothing wrong with that, we are after all very empathetic creatures. It only shows you are a very caring and loving person. If you want remove the seagull and have a burial service for it this might help you feel less remorse.

I don't like anything being hit or killed at all, but accidents do happen. Personally, I would feel bad that it did get hit by the car after being shoo'ed away. But you can't help where they are going to fly. I guess I feel this way because I do have a heart when it comes to any living creature, whether it be an animal or a person. I am just not cold hearted at all. But accidents do happen.

Because they're annoying. Also, flies are in garbage, poop, and every disgusting thing imaginable. Ever seen a corpse? Like on TV? What are they filled with? Flies and other bugs. We don't want that around are head or body, do we? (I think no.) Also, it's a reflex. If there's some insect flying around your head, then you're going to swat it away. Yes, a voluntary reflex, but still a reflex.

No, the seagull flew into the street, and the person driving the car is most guilty for not stopping.

Don't be shooing away the seagulls, yo!
If the bird flew into the street then I suspect the impact may have caused its death before being run over. Therefore I think you should be able to sleep. The bird commited suicide.

The catalyst of a chain reaction. It's really all about intention. What was your intention for making the poor bstrd relocate to begin with?
Was it posing an immediate threat to your well being. Or are you just into antagonizing things smaller than you?

absolutely not... no one can always predict the consequences of their actions.... you shooed the seagull away because you didn't want it bothering you, not because you wanted it to get run over... for that you cannot be blamed....

nah, it could have flown else where but it may not have seen the car. next time though look before you shoo. you might not like it if the bird shooed you into a moving vehicle.
