Everyone likes to spend what they've worked so hard for now and then. But if you feel like you need to stop, DON'T SHOP! In the end, when your family is happy with money well saved, it sets off a better feeling than that of buying things for yourself.

Try setting your budget and set a certain amount for extra spending per week and don't go over it. I know it takes discipline but you'll get used to a set amount and it'll help you to not get into money troubles. I had credit card problems and finally cleared them all and i'll never go back to using them ever again. They're evil.
