my homeschooled sons performed in a play for a gorgeous, expensive northern virginia day care this month. it was utterly heartbreaking to watch the boring, soulless routine the little kids have to endure. they couldn't even linger on the books they were interested in.
and guess what? i found a stack of those forms that are filled out to say what the kids do during day care. BEFORE THE PLAY EVEN HAPPENED, all the forms said the child had watched the play and loved it. Sick, pathetic.
could you really do that to your own child?
more than ten hours of separation a week from mommy is devastating to a child under 3. the research has shown that consistently for 50 years. there is no good day care for little kids, period.
