Stop eating the sweets! They perk you up for a few minutes, then you crash lower that you were before.
Dehydration can make you sleepy. Be sure to drink lots of water, NOT soda!
You if you are sleepy during the day, try MOVING. Get your blood moving, swing your arms above your head, go for a short walk. And breath deeply, from your diaphragm.

Take charge of your life, don't let it take charge of you. Set your alarm for 8 hours sleep and get up. Exercise, every day. If you have weight problem, fix it. Make some goals to shoot for. Do productive stuff every day. Volunteer to help with kids or older folks. Move your life in a positive direction. People are often depressed because they are bored. Get rid of the lazies. Try all of this. If it doesn't work after 6 months, see a doctor as it could be a chemical imbalance of some sort. Good luck.

If you can afford, have some more sleep. Play any outdoor sport (daily) for half and hour or one to make your body fit. Also try deep breathing early in the morning and whenever you feel sleepy. This should help. Avoid caffeine, else you won't work without it.

Perhaps you need exercise. The body regenerates not only with more sleep but also with more oxygen. Your sluggishness may be a sign that your body needs more oxygen, and that your muscles need to be strengthened.

it's not oversleeping, don't worry :) you could do with 9 hrs sleep. remember to drink plenty of WATER, regular exercise, and proper meals at regular times too. and you should sleep in a totally darkened room (with dark curtains to block out light).
i'm feeling sleepy now myself... at work... yawn...

i think you need at least two more hours of sleep. most kids are able to adjust to seven hours of sleep, but some just need their daily nine hours of sleep
