As long as you check it I would think it would be fine because it's not actually metal -- but don't wrap items you are carrying on.

Beware they reserve the right to unwrap your presents. TSA isn't the sharpest tools in the shed and they really don't care if they're unwrapping juniors gift. HOWEVER I'd still wrap them and take my chances.

I believe that you are not allowed to bring wrapped Christmas presents in either your carry on and checked luggage. I suggest that you visit the http://www.tsa.gov/ they have the complete list of what you can and can not bring on the aircraft with you.

No, so do not have them gift wrapped as they will just un wrap them,,,

It is very possible they make you unwrap them. Wrap them after you arrive.
