My mom feeds my 7 month old things like meatsauce, real table food not pureed or even chopped up real good. I do not want this. How do I tell her nicely to not do this. To only feed her what I send to her with the kids? My family has a history of obesity, and I don't want my kids to fall into this same track!

I am a daycare owner/provider and I'd nicely tell her that she is not developmentally ready for these kinds of foods yet. You might also want to tell her that you know she is just trying to help and you appreciate her spending time (or taking care of if she watches them) but you don't feel comfortable feeding her these types of foods yet. According to CACFP (the child and adult food program) a 4 thru 7 month old should be offered the following:
Breafast: 6-8 ounces of formula or breastmilk and 1-3 tbsp infant cereal
Lunch- 4-8 oz of formula or breastmilk, 1-3 tbsp of infant cereal, and 1-3 tbsp fruit or vegtable(pureed)
Snack: 4-6 ounces of formula or breast milk
Dinner: same as lunch

I would also like to add that a lot of people don't think that a baby can be overweight or obese, but they can be. A lot of times they will grow out of it and be just fine, but it is never to early to start eating healthy, but if a baby is hungry you should feed it and not withhold food.

I don't know how much help all of that was, and hopefully with you nicely telling her how you feel and your concerns she will understand. :)

I recognize the medical professionals and nurses are towards feeding infants too early, however I have performed it with all my kids, (a long time one million-15) they're all healthful, no allergic reactions, no disorders. It was once correctly my grandmother who first fed my two month ancient little one lady gentle desk meals(haha) due to the fact that all she had performed for the primary 2 months of her existence was once cry. All my kids had been within the ninety fifth percentile or proper of the charts, and no longer fats, simply robust and healthful. I might say that your mother is aware of what she is doing and might be you will have to take a look at displaying a few appreciation for her enjoy and willingness to aid you out. I am certain no damage will come for your little one from grandma.

My 9 month old actually refuses to eat anything he cant shovel in himself (pureed food) so he eats everything we do just minus the flavourings and seasonings. He is a healthy weight. Just explain to your mother that you would like to keep a better track of your daughters diet. Food allergies is a good excuse, so could she please only give her what you send for her. Just tell your mom that your daughters diet is something that you would like to monitor closely to ensure there will be no problems with weight or allergies.

Tell her that your pediatrician has told you that your daughter has some stomach or intestinal problems due to digesting whole food. Tell her that the pediatrician says that you must puree her food and to not add such things as oil or salt into her food. In this way, you can use a professional to back up your concerns.

Not only that, but it's a choking hazard!

Maybe tell her that at his recent pediatrician visit, the doc told you what foods to feed your child. Show her a list and ask her to PLEASE stick to it. That may be good, only send with the kids the food you want them to eat.
