After drooling over the Shelby Cobra GT 500 "This is what makes the Shelby GT500 the awesome force it is — a supercharged and intercooled 5.4-liter 32-valve V8 generating 500 horsepower and 480 lbs./ft. of torque", I looked at the sticker price of $42,975 and snapped me back to reality. The Mustang GT Deluxe at $26,020 is affordable and has "An aluminum 4.6L SOHC V8 engine, sporting a 3-valves-per-cylinder head arrangement, delivers Mustang GT’s thunderous 300 hp and 320 lb.-ft. of torque." Not to bad for arround1/2 the price of the Shelby. I have to admit I dool over this model too. These are new prices and if you can wait a year or two or get a year or two older model you can save quite a bit of cash. If you can get it, well buy it.

It all depends on if you want one and if you can afford one. The starting price for a 2007 Ford Mustang GT is $26,370. It already comes with a 4.6 liter 300-hp V8, 5 speed manual transmission and 17" cast aluminum wheels, all standard. If you want a powerful tire burner that'll smoke any "rice burner" out there than this is your car.

If you're under 25 keep in mind you are going to be paying out big bucks in insurance premiums. Especially if you've had any recent tickets.
If either of the two is the case, you might want to go with a V-6.
Otherwise, if you don't have 3 or 4 kids and have mild winters where you live, go for it.

I suppose if you want to be like every douchebag out there that has one. They aren't nothing to get worked up about. Most mustangs aren't that fast to begin with and EVERYONE has one. Why not look at something that doesn't scream poser?
