not at all! i have braces, and i've grown a liking to them. It adds a special sparkle to your smile! my only advice would be to take some tylenol or some kind of pain reliever before you get your braces on...it spares alot of your pain afterwards. Also, try not to eat anything too hard after you get them on...stick to soups and soft foods. GOOD LUCK AND GOD BLESS!! =)

They weren't that bad. They can be annoying. The spacers hurt a bit at first, because it's a new feeling. The braces hurt at first as well. Sometimes they can cut your lip. It's not a bad cut, just a scrape that annoys you for a while.
When they get tightened or changed, they will hurt. I always ended up sleeping it off. It wasn't ever terrible, though.
The biggest annoyance is the fact that it hurts to eat for a few days after having your braces tightened. Noodles and soft foods are good to eat at that time.
Of course, it does all depend on what is being moved (it was my front teeth, so I couldn't bite when they were moving) and how well you tolerate pain (I don't tolerate pain very well).
They're also annoying to brush, because stuff gets stuck in them. Then it's years of wearing a retainer at day or, usually, at night so you teeth don't move back.
But, all in all, I was sort of sad to get my braces off and I am really, really happy with how my teeth turned out.

Braces aren't that bad. They don't look good, but the end result is great. I was in braces for 3 years and I love my smile now. Remember to brush your teeth really well though, because you could get permanent staining if you don't. They are a little uncomfortable at first and you might want to get some wax at the drug store, but they don't hurt that bad. Good luck to ya!!!

well first of all spacers are worse than braces plus u don't have to get an expander which is really bad but braces can be annoying espeically if i want to eat gum but it will hurt for a few days u just have to get used to them. belive me i got my tops ones over them summer and getting my spacers for my bottem teeth Jan. 22 and braces the 25. it doesn't hurt getting them on it fells like there gluing it to your teeth but u get all those pretty colors which rocks but when you cahnge colors it hurts alittle and idk about rubber bands yet but good luck

Braces come with good days and come with bad days...but as long as you take care of them and brush it will be SOOOO worth it in the end. Good Luck

Nothing to get nervous. It is uncomfortable for some time but it will bring your face a beautiful look. You can keep smiling.

Nope i like having them cause i love 2 pick out the colors. right now i have glow in the dark colors.

yes they are, every time you smile you look like that guy who played a baddie in a james bond film however, once your teeth are straight and they are removed you will look lovely
