place them in air tight containers, with small bowls (that can't spill and get soda on your meringues) of baking soda (it will absorb the humidity in the container).
put a small bowl of soda in each corner of my box and stack the meringues even directly on top of each other and they don't stick...they'll last a really long time this way.
Depending on what your making the hardest part is finding good storage containers. But even non perfect storage containers work fine. But if you wrap them well with plastic and don't forget the soda they hold really well.

Hi I have used waxed paper when making cheese cake. It is baked at 350 degrees. At the initial there is a little smoking for about 2-3 minutes but the vent fan takes care of it. I have never had a problem and the cakes turn out great. Good luck Cliff

Not in the fridge or freezer! Packed loose in an large air tight container in a cool, dry place. I store mine in a canister that has a locking lid. They probably should be layered with wax paper between layers so they don't stick together if they do get damp.

I use a plastic container with a tight lid and like most said here DO NOT PUT IN FRIG !! The frig (from experience) seems to make them squishy or spongy. The flavor is still good but the texture changed.
I make the brown sugar ones with chocolate chips in...good gawd I think I just gain 5 pounds thinking about them...YUM !
Happy Baking and Merry CHRISTmas !!

Container in the cabinet.. cool dry place.
The refrigerator may cause condensation to form which will muck up your meringues.
