I have always kept in touch with my ex. He just told me about his new girl and for some reason I feel a little bit sad. There is no way we can go back together for so many reasons. So why am I feeling this way? Shouldn't I be happy for him? I'd like to think I am over him!!! Has anyone been in this situation before??

We all have been there. However, maybe the question is why are you still friends with your ex? Most people don't maintain a friendship. Not that you need to be mean to him, but sometimes you just have to let people go in your life. Wish him well and stop calling and taking his calls. He will soon get the message.
Maybe you should spend some time making new friends, meeting new people and getting a new boyfriend for yourself. I'm sure that energy spent on improving your life would be a much better use of your time.
Best of luck.

I had a guy that i dated like that! We always found a way to get back into touch no matter what happened. Well this last time i called him and he talked to me like an old friend and then started hinting at if i was single. I said i was and he started telling me about his girlfriend and how he looked for a long time for a good girl and then he found her! I kinda took it as an insult but overall i looked at it this way he has my # and he could call anytime at all but he never did so i figured he just doesn't care he wants me there in case he needs and booty call sometime when he gets dumped and i am not willing to do that but i think about him but i know at this point it would never work out in a relationship between us and that gives me some satifaction and him never wanting to talk tells me he thinks im a joke.

I have just recently become divorced after 34 yrs of marriage..My ex remains a very important part of my life as I have known him since I was 17..I guess I cant imagine not having him in my life, ya know? We divorced because of his "internet love" that he just had to have(it didnt work out) I'm sure when the real thing comes around for him I will be sad too as he will be moving on without me..Of course I will wish him happiness and hope that someday I too will find happiness again..You ARE over him, now you just need to move on without him

I have been in this situation before & i kinda know what your feeling. Its ok to not be over someone & maybe the reason why you feel sad is because your not over him. I think that you should tell him how you feel & maybe you two can work things out. If not then maybe things are not meant to be and your only making yourself feel like your not over him because you miss him or you miss the fact of having someone like him...
