LCD TV lasts longer than plasma.

False. All TVs now, either LCD (in this case, the fluorescent backlight) or plasma have about 60,000 hours of half-brightness life.
This is the time it will take the TV to become half-bright, compared to new.
This is about 20 Years at 8 hours per day. So buy the TV that is within your price range and with the best picture and don't worry about its life span/

it isnt true but after 5 years the screen quality mite wear down and by then u shud prob. have gotten a new one... also the bigger ones last longer than the smaller ones because there is more "stuff" in them and it regenerates itself a lot better than smaller ones... hope it helps!!
