Well my boyfriends best friend is a girl and they've only been friends for 6 months. Well I don't really like her one reason is because shes 20 years old and my boyfriend is 16. She trys to act our age and act like shes younger but she annoys the crap outta me! The biggest problem I have with her is just the fact that she likes my boyfriend alot, and she used to flirt with him til recently. I mean I sorta feel sorry for her because shes never been in a relationship and I feel sorry that she flirts with teenage guys. But i feel happy/mixed emotions because now my boyfriend and her arent talking because they got into a fight yesterday how he never liked her and how her feelings were so strong and he told her she's just using this other guy to flirt with to get over feelings for him. I mean I really don't like her and is it wrong for me to wish that they lose their friendship?

I think that the age difference is really weird for that close of a friendship, especially when it's a boy/girl friendship. I don't think it's weird for you to wish they lose their friendship, I would probably wish the same thing. They both need to find friends closer to their same age group.

Edit- I don't wish my boyfriend's best friends away. But I would be curious if my boyfriend had a best friend that could practically be 21 and can drink either this year or next year, and he's only 16! That's seriously too old. They couldn't have met in highschool? And I don't understand how a 20 year old woman wants to cling to a 16 year old boy like that.

I can understand where you are coming from. It is difficult if not impossible to have a mate whos best friend is of the opposite sex. The mind will tell you that he is with you but the back of your mind always kind of wonders. Even though there isnt that much of an age difference I suspect her to be an immature person if she is trying to act like a 16 yr and that is why she has no boyfriend and hangs out with you guys. So after all of this I can understand how you feel and I think she needs to find a group of her own age.

Trust your boyfriend, if he says there just friends, listen to him. And do you know for sure that she likes him more then friends? And if being Friends with this person makes him happy then this should make you happy to. My Best friend is a guy too, and his girlfriend doesn't like me, I not interested in being anything beside friends, but her being so mean makes things hard between me and him. You have an effect on their relationship, so I think you need to talk with him and her. And I think its wrong for you to wish your boyfriends best friends away.

I don't really think anything is wrong with that age difference in friends. If u trust ur boyfriend than u have nothing to worry about. It sounds to me like ur jealous

Yes. Your wish to get rid of this friend smells like jealousy and selfishness. You're demonstrating inclinations toward posessiveness and that's not love. It's emotional dependency.

well i think that you should call her up and tell her that u were getting jealous of her because u thought that she was trying to make him from u and then u should get your boyfriend and her together and work things out and u should apologize to both of them and tell them that she cant get in the way of her
