temperate refers, i believe, to areas that experience both a true summer, and a true winter - that is, areas which are midway from the equator to the poles

deciduous means trees that lose their leaves. generally these trees have broad leaves. good examples are oak trees and maple trees.

a forest is an area where there are many trees, and several layers of ecosystems as well. generally, they have their share of wildlife, as there are many places for animals to live, within a forest.

TEMPERATE RAIN FOREST: these have lots and lots of rain or precipitation, and have broad leaved or coniferous trees. TEMPERATE DECIDUOUS FOREST: these are found in areas with warm, moist summers and mild winters. the trees in these forests lose their leaves each year. TROPICAL RAIN FOREST: these are found near the equator. these also experience high temperatures and rainfall.
