I am not even the least bit creative. It's sad, and I don't want my kids to miss out because of me. I want to have something that I can do every year. Something they can remember.

Thanks so much!

I too am not at all creative...my daughter is now 22 and she does remember the fun Christmas traditions we always did. We always made a paper chain to count the days till Christmas..she delighted in removing 1 of the links every night before bed.she did this thru high school..we also made cookies for Santa and had a plate and milk set out for him..and reindeer food was made from different cereals with a little oatmeal and some brown sugar. We decorated a brown lunch sack to put the food in for Santa to take outside to his reindeer. She always wrote a note to Santa and we mailed it and also drew a picture of another note thanking Santa for coming to our house..we left it by the milk and cookies.

Make reindeer food: Oatmeal and glitter and spread it on the front lawn on christmas eve
Get lots of frosting and food coloring. Put the frosting in 4 bowls and add red food coloring to one, green to another, blue, and yellow. Make sugar cookies and have all different types of toppings for them to choose from. Do this one Christmas eve so they can leave some for Santa!
Collect a couple pine cones or buy some from a craft store, glue and glitter and ribbons. Have them decorate the pine cones.
Get a Gingerbread House kit and put together a gingerbread house

Hope this gave you some ideas.

I dont know about where you live but we have a local dollar tree store, one of those stores that everything is a dollar. Anyway i went yesturday and bought 2 stockings there, they are huge stockings! Then i bought some glitter pens and let them decorate it by drawing candy canes and snowmen. If you dont like that idea let them make you some ornaments for your tree, using construction paper.
