They told me when i picked it up on Friday that they only had 12 of my 120 pills. and that i could pick it up today after 1pm. so during my break at work i went to pick it up(my pharmacy is in the same place where i work). but they didn't have it. I need to take my medicine. Its for depression. I take it twice a day. Now i'm going to be off of it for at least a day and a half or more. is there any thing i can do?

i used to work in pharmacy and this does happen alot...
if a patient really needed the medication we would borrow it from another pharmacy. unfortunately since they already filled part of your prescription they may not be able to transfer it to another pharmacy depending on how their computer system works.

Depending on the medication, you could also ask them if they have a higher strength tablet that can be safely split to give you the proper dosage you need.

Don't hold it against the Pharmacy that they didn't get the drug in; as long as they order properly, it's out of their hands whether or not it comes in.

Go get it at another Pharmacy right now! Why is it obvious solutions are so difficult to come by?

Contact some other pharmacies in your area. If you find one that has the medication you need in stock, have them transfer your prescription and get it filled there.

is it a chain like walgreens or CVS? see if there is another in your area and if so ask the pharmacist if you can get the rest from there. otherwise transfer it to a different pharmacy that has them in stock

I have had that happen to me before as well and it sucks. Call your doctor and have the prescription transferred to another pharmacy that has it. Your doctor might also have some free samples that he or she can give you.
