If my parent is a US citizen when i was 17 am I a citizen ?

I'm reffering to the new imigration law of 2001.

If you were born here and your parents are US citizens then you would be a citizen. Otherswise NO.

You are a citizen if you were naturalized. You would know that because you would have documents to prove it. It's not automatic, like a lot of people think.
