I have been on the pill for 3.5 years. I had unprotected sex two times before my period in November and December. Both times my period was only 5 days. before it would be 6-7. Is it normal for it to be shorter after having sex? I did take a HPT because I was worried and it came back negative

It's normal that your period changes between 5 and 7 days, while sex usually doesn't effect the length of your period and can jump start your period (make you start) when it's close to your due date of your period. I would not be overly concerned with the change in length it's normal.

Sex has never changed the length of my periods. I have been on the Pill for thirteen years and having sex for over ten years.

However, the length of my periods changed from being on the Pill. Before I went on the pill my periods were 7 days. Now they are 6 days.

I would say it is from the Pill, not the sex. But, you can ask your Gyn to see if he/she knows.
