Cold water will not cleanse the hair!!!! Cold water will however close the cuticle though! The closed cuticle holds in moisture!!! i have never heard of cold water making the hair grow!!!!
Your hair on average grows around 12mm per month, the way to grow it is only have it cut every 6 weeks, but make sure your not having more taken off than it has grown!!!

No, but if you shampoo your hair, rinse with hot water, and then soak it in cold water for about five minutes, it will be softer.

No! Who on earth told you that. Just keep it healthy and don't get it cut every 6 weeks, it will appear to grow fast

No nut if you wash it in cold water that will make your hair shiny and softer
