My definition of "soul" is "the energy that makes an individual unique" so yes, by my way of thinking plants do have a "soul."

A soul is something that applied to living thinking things whose actions can be determined to be more than 'just living'. Many organisms are alive, but their actions are solely just to live they do not think or ponder about their actions, they just live to grow, procreate and die. A soul comes into being when a living being can chose it's actions or seeks to choose it's actions. A soul is often linked to emotions ie making an emotive decision rather than a purely functional one in order to live. Therefore if you believe a plant has complex emotions and chooses to grow a certain way or make certain individual decisions then you would believe it to have a soul. Proving that would be difficult as they don't really have a way to communicate. Then again you could always ask Prince Charles about the power of talking to plants.

Everything is a part of God.

God is not in the universe She is the universe.

She created the universe from the only thing that She had available, Herself.

You and the most distant star from you in the universe both exist within the idea of God.

This is a difficult concept for most people to comprehend because they have been taught nonsense about God. Like the idea that God lives far away on a cloud called heaven. God is not a raindrop. Raindrops live in clouds Not God. This is foolishness.

Jesus told us that the kingdom of God is within us. This is true because each and every one of us exist as a part of God. We live and move within our loving source. There is no moment or possibility that we can ever be apart from her.

Forget the silly stories that you have been told about a distant God that lives in the clouds. Look around you. Everything that you see is God.

For this reason everything can be said to have a soul. Even the earth.

Love and blessings.

I believe plants and insects that live under five years have whats known as a half life, after a plant or a short lived insect dies, they become part of the Earth.

*pssst* souls are made up. Don't tell anyone. If you want to know if something has 'perspective' than it has to have a brain that can recognize it's own existance. Plants don't have one of those...

Interesting question. I have thought about that too. Obviously plants have energy and they breathe air. I don't know. I guess we will find out when we cross over.
