An hour isn't that far away. I know it may
seem like it, but it really isn't.

I'm not sure you could actually make him
stay, especially if he really loves his job.
And if you really love him, you wouldn't
want him to leave his job.

It may be harder if he lives an hour away,
but it could be a lot worse.

I had to deal with my boyfriend living 1000
miles away, so I'm sure you could figure
out some kind of plan to see each other
as often as possible.

i don't know how old you are, but you can definitely still make it work. every woman in my family has had a successful long distance relationship and your situation isn't even that long distance. you'll just have to spend the weekends at each others houses and see each other during the week when you reallymiss each other.
it sounds tough and it is sometimes. but trust me. you might enjoy having a little more time to focus on yourself.

Well ... I don't know what his job is, but if it's good then you shouldn't want him to stay. Can he get a comparable job near you? Or, can you move to be closer?
