Run easily (don't sprint) and run long distances. Short distance sprinting builds the calves, but slow, long running does not. If you have ever seen a female marathon runner, her calves will look like twigs.

you calves don't get that bulky they get solid. mine are normal size. not skinny ,but in proportion to the rest of my leg. I run 30 miles a week and have run several marathons and females do not usually bulk up like men do. My calves have not changed and I have been running for well over 20 years

If you get bulky calves then that just means you are gaining muscle which is good. Its healthier than fat and when you run it still gives you the benefit of losing weight.

First off, I don't see a problem with bulky calves. But to avoid bulky calves, try aerobic exercises with LOW IMPACT. Use the bicycle or elliptical with low resistance.

I've tried many diets and couldn't make anything work. Since having my first child, I've been carrying around an extra 30 pounds. This diet just made sense and showed me that everything I was doing before was wrong and a waste of my time.
The plan was so refreshing and so simple to follow. I did everything plan said and lost 23 pounds in the first three weeks. I'm now starting the diet again to lose 7 more pounds. This plan has changed my life.
Get started today!

If you don't want your muscles to get bulky, do alot of exercises with low resistance, (as opposed to a few exercises with hig resistance). Also, stretch stretch stretch!! Before and after, touch your toes, do lunges, anything to get yourself in and out of the workut slowly, so your muscles wont be as tense and sore (and your calves wont get thigh)

Yes, don't push your running too hard. The harder you work (like running up stairs), the bigger your muscles will build. Easy running at distance should lengthen the muscle rather than bulk it up. Some people will also bulk up easier than others, so if that is your body type, you'll really have to take it easy.
