I think alot of meaning comes out of our rebellious stages...so these things are usually interrelated...so, to answer your question, both.

I prefer meaningful tattoos and most of mine do have meaning. Four of the six are important to me. Not to say I don't like the other two, I love them, and I still thought long and hard about getting them-they just don't mean anything. They are more...decoration I guess.

None of the above. I would only consider a tattoo to cover an ugly scar. That means the tatoo would have to be something pretty like a rose or a butterfly.

who the freak cares?! get whatever you want. if you are getting a tattoo to impress someone else then you're stupid. all tattoos are meaningful. even the person that says it has no meaning is lieing. they picked it for some reason or another.

Personally I prefer toattos that speak to me and something that I'm still going to be in love with in 20,30,40 years time when my skin doesn't fit me anymore...
Meaningful is better than rebellion, meaningful lasts a life time, rebellion lasts a few years maybe???

Meaningful, I'm not worried about regret, but I want a story behind it
