I'm going to a party for New Years...this girl I sort of have a thing for is throwing it. Anyway, she invited me...and I said I would go. She is single. I was wondering, if I kissed her at midnight on New Years - you think it would be OK (provided that the circumstances allowed for it)? I mean - I'm not going to hunt her down and lay one on her in front of a bunch of people I don't really know. That could be awkarrrrrrrrrrd. But if she's just hanging out next to me and seems like she is look for some love - could I man up and kiss my friend-who-I-wish-was-my-girlfriend? Any thoughts? Would it be smooth and classy or weird and creepy??? It always seems like such a fine line...

I would say if you get the vibe she wants to, then go for it, but just make it a soft kiss. If you're unsure, kiss her on the cheek and see what happens.

find some time to be alone with her around 12 and maybe kiss her
oh her cheeck.anywhere else might be rushing it.(you can kiss her where you want to, it's just an oppinion.)then if you feel too awkward to be around her after "the moment", then leave the party.i think it would put a little romatic touch on it.good luck!
