All of my friends are Christian but 80% of them doubt that God created everything, I need some flaws in the theory of evolution so i can prove them wrong. Thanks

You've answered your own question...it's theory. There is no proof that evolution took place, none.

Something to ponder...if people evolved from apes, why are there still apes? Why didn't all of them evolve? Why haven't humans evolved into something higher? What has stopped humans from evolving?

Why are there still alligators / crocodiles? They've supposedly be around for millions of years. Why haven't they evolved? Or sharks for that matter...?

I would suggest not arguing with your friends over this. Either they believe in Jesus Christ or they don't. Either they believe the Holy Bible is 100% truth or they don't. We can't sit on the fence, it's just not possible.

I do think that God didn't tell us everything. He did tells us the important things in life such as: love Him above all, with everything you have...and to love one another as Jesus has loved us. Everything falls into place.

First let me say that I am a Christian. Secondly, let me say that I don't 'believe' in evolution simply because it is a scientific fact. You need to figure out how to differntiate between your faith's teachings and what is scientifically known.

What I do believe in is 'Divine Evolution'. That is to say that while we did evolve from lower life forms, there was definitely a 'divine' hand in it. You must understand that the bible/koran/torah/etc. was divinely inspired but written by man and written by men with less than a High School education by today's standards. You also must understand that the men who were writing the bible/koran/torah/etc. were doing their best to explain what God was showing them and at the same time do so in a language and vocabulary of the people at the time.

There are many discrepfencies in the bible. For example, look at the stories of the navitiy and the crusifiction as told in the gospels (Matthew Mark Luke and John. Look for example at the different tellings of who discovered the empty tomb and how it was discovered. The point I am making here is that one cannot take the bible to literally but rather search out the truth with in it. It's doesn't really matter who or when the tomb was discovered empty, the truth (and what really matters) is that it was empty.

Stop trying to 'prove your faith' by disproving scientific fact and embrace your faith and science.

Hope this helps and....

Merry Christmas!

Unless you look to the Bible for all of your answers AND proof, you will find NO VALID SCIENTIFIC arguements that evolution doesn't exist. If you want to try to disprove evolution so parts of the Bible make "literal" sense to you, I would suggest doing what all die hard Christians do (or any religious fundamentalist) and skim the Bible or religious books for stories that support your beliefs, then quote them as complete truths. Finally, when your friends ask what evidence you have tyo support your claims tell them it was written in the Bible. If you have already tried this and don't feel it is a very good arguement as they have documented scientific proof on their side, you may need to revise your beliefs as neccessary or stop trying to change their mainds. The problem is that science evolves and their proof is always being updated with fresh hypotheses and new facts, while your arguement is based on a variety of books written by humans and compiled many years ago in another language and metaphorical style much different from today. BTW you should focus on your own beliefs and stop trying to force them on your friends.

Flaws, yes. But you are going to have to explain the fossils with any other valid theory. Evolution happened somehow. The fossil record is basically the definition of evolution. Starts simple, gets more complex over a long period of time.

Denying that basic fact is just lying.

Not sayin there are any flaws in the Theory of Evolution, but you can't prove your friends wrong because they are right. Sorry, just a simple fact now, not even sure if its still a theory.

But this will tickle your brain...Did God create evolution?

Hold your horses, have you attempted to accept some of the things they've been telling you, or are you dead set that you are the correct on based on you or your ministers interpretation of the Bible.

1.1 Billion Roman Catholics are taught to consider the reasonable nature of evolution. It seems to, in some way, be married into the creation "prophecy." I remind you, that it does not appear to be an "account" (like of the crucifixion), but rather of a prophecy.

Anyway, consider science.

So, I should mention that man is unique among the animal kingdom, clearly standing out as some sort of pinnacle or "first-born."

Dude, what does the fact that God created everything have to do with the concept of evolution?

The fact that organisms adapt to changing environmental stresses does not in any way conflict with the idea that God created the universe. In fact, I think that ignoring the observable complexities of this wonderful universe that God created is somewhat of an insult to the creator.

I suggest actually going to a site where you will learn what evolution really says. Or read a book written by real biologists, Say www.talkorigins.org and "What Evolution Is" by Ernst Mayr . If you only learn a strawman version of it from creationist sites and try to argue from that point of view your friends will only think you are a moron. If you actually learn what evolution says then you will be the first creationist I ever communicated with that did so.

You're ready to "prove" evolution doesn't exist yet you don't have sufficient knowledge to argue that position one way or another? You're doing this backwards, my friend.

First, do your homework. Educate youself enough to speak intelligently on this subject. Think things through and figure out what makes sense to you before you try to evangelize your pals. Otherwise you'll make a fool of yourself and goodness knows there's enough people doing that.

Science does not disprove God, nor does God disprove science.

Evolution does happen as a matter of God's will. Stop trying to liit God to an earthly definition of science.
