I agree... it's so obvious - but these religious nut-jobs can't see through the veil of lies that covers their faces.

Naw he was invented to explain the unexplainable, and to give comfort to people who's lives were hard, brutal, and ultimately short. Not quite so sinister as you suggest. The bible isn't true of course, but it is a source for historian. All right it is certainly biased, but so were all the egyptian hieroglyphs which described the pharaoh as a living god who would slay 40,000 of the enemy in one sitting. By sifting out the clearly ridiculous stuff, we may be able to finally get some truth out of that old book!

he is real and if you examine the Natural Laws of Nature you are examining Him..If you think that it is an attempt to control people, you are wrong. Let's put it this way, you purchase a new car, and it comes with an instruction book on what it needs to make it run correctly. That is all the Bible is, a set of instructions to remain healthy and wise. That is what a loving father does and He allows you to make choices and decisions in your life. The New Testament calls it "free will."

God was created by Men because as humans we cannot deal with guilt.
We needed someone to blame for the bad things so created a fictional person to point at (the Devil).
But because most humans are really dumb and need to find a balance in everything they created the good (god for instance).
Then someone came along and decided he was the son of this god. Then someone else said, the only way to the son of god is through me. Then someone else came and said, not only is the way to the son of god through me but give me 10% of your earnings.

I don't think so. I think people looked at all the things around them that they couldn't explain and came up with an answer - God, in some form or another. They honestly believed it must be supernatural. Now that we can understand all these things, however, it's time to put the God thing to rest.
