Because all of the "ultimate truths" out there are a load of crap that fly in the face of reason and logic.

A good question. I wish I could answer it for you, but I would have to know you to truly have insight on the why.

Truth be told there are so many religions and view points out there it can muddle the best of minds. Then through in science and logic and all the glitz that is crammed into our world and double it if you are American.

Even if you were raised in a Christian home you could still find yourself wondering that question. I did. My family took me every Sunday and Wednesday. But, the rest of the time there was bickering and strife. It did not all seem real to me. I was lost in a sea of two faced indecision. It took a car crash to wake me up and make me seek more carefully.

The Bible promises that if you seek him you will find him. So, simply put, look and do so earnestly. I have no doubt you will find him, though you may fall many times or go the wrong way for a time in the process.

I would hope you would start in the Bible (New Testament please) then move to other religions and ways of thought. Weed them out till you find the right path or start over if non seemed to be right. If you have friends of these ways you could have a healthy dialog with them and have them answer any and all questions you have. You could also Church shop.

What ever you do try not to become apathetic

Probably b/c there's so many choices. It's like you knowing you're hungry but you don't know for what and then you have tons of restaurants to choose from. One thing I will tell you is to pray for guidance and by the grace of God... you will be directed to the right place.

Probably because one (I have been there) sees what man says and does (presently here in the USA) but it is different from what God says. can also understand ones dilemma regarding 'God'.
