There is no easy way. You can certainly apply and wait in a very long line, for years. You can marry an American, but that does not automatically grant you residency and the right to work - you have to apply and wait months to get your interview and green card; in the meantime, you can't work and your spouse has to guarantee that they can support you. You can find an American employer to sponsor you to work on a visa like H1B, but they have to swear that they can't find a similarly qualified American first.

My husband is from Canada and is waiting to apply for citizenship (so many months after you're granted your residency you can apply) but there are pros and cons to each process. I'd look for an American company doing business in Canada and see if you can get on board... that might be the quickest route.

getting married to a U.S. citizen is the fastest way...or if you come here on a work visa. but the process is long even after you get here. it took six months for my fiancee to get her visa, when she got here we were married. now we are filing for her residency which USCIS told me can take 9-12 months and then it is only a CONDITIONAL 2 year residency. after the 2 yrs we have to apply to remove the conditional status and then she will be a permanent resident. after all that she can decide if she wants to become a U.S. citizen.

Marry an American or get a job here and have your employer sponsor you.
