Almost certainly. People are addicted to a range of OTC (over the counter) and prescribed painkillers. Kapake contains codeine as well as paracetemol - its generic name is co-codamol. Codeine is an opioid drug and people with a pre-exisiting addiction to opiates may not be safe taking Kapake. Regardless of the content, many people become psychologically addicted to OTC drugs which contain substances which ought not to be phsyiologically addictive - you can become psychologically addicted to pretty much anything you believe you "need" to get through the day.
