That is what puppies do. As they get older and with disiplining from the mother and the rest of the litter it should become less frequent. When pup bites stop playing with it and ignore it or give it a tap on the nose and tell it no bite. Eventually the pup will learn, it just takes time

When our dog bit as a puppy we would yell "OWW!!" really loud. It would startle him and he learned not to bite. The tip about biting the animal back has worked for me too, on a cat. And grabbing the muzzle and yelling "no!" is good advice, too.
Pick up a book on "pack psychology." One mistake humans make is thinking we can push OUR psychology onto an animal. It is possible to make a really good dog, if you work with it a lot, and use quite a bit of pack psychology. What you've got going on right now sounds like an "alpha" issue to me. This will be a dominant dog, it sounds like.

Is this a rescued pup? Too young to be away from his Mom. But that's besides the point...I know those little teeth pinch but you have to ignore him, and slip a bone in his mouth. No matter what DON'T bite him back and DON'T hit him, this only encourages the behaviour. The more you snap or slap or bite back, the more he will want to do the same things back to you. Please understand that he is teething. Imagine what that feels like to him, those sharp teeth cutting through his gums. Our human babies scream and cry and even need tylenol at times, so poor little fella needs lots of chew toys (like bones not squishy stuff), love and PATIENCE. If you teach him the proper way, you'll have results, if you teach him the wrong way, you'll have nothing but trouble. As far as the other animals are concerned MYOB...they will deal with it within the pack!!Good Luck PLEASE PLEASE DON'T HIT HIM

at 11 weeks, he's basically commencing the teething technique, and it will proceed untill he's 6 months previous. first of all, do no longer hit your domestic dog!!!do no longer use the spray water bottle the two!do no longer punish your canines by utilising putting him in his pen, because of the fact it teaches him that the pen is a bad place and he will pee in it and yelp.... confident... i comprehend... bear it for 2 extra months or so and you have got a pleasing, canines. to coach your domestic dog to no longer chew YOU, purchase various toys which incorporate kongs, and different no longer ordinary rubber toys. If scissors can cut back via it, then are not getting it. are not getting latex squeky toys for chewing, those (with plush animals) are quite ordinary to tear, and verify that's no longer too small or great! To make a puppy prefer to apply his toys and not your palms, rub on tasty issues on the rubber toys, for kongs, you will get specific kong domestic dog stuffin', then additionally spray your palms with bitter apple, or in case you won't be able to discover that, each and every time your canines bites supply out a intense pitched yelp, which incorporate a canines could have. quickly your canines will learn reliable success!

Yeah, it's a puppy thing. Don't snap his nose or bite his ear, that just teaches him that aggression is the right response.

There are two approaches, and you have to figure out which one works for your pup.

One, a firm "No!" and ignore him for a minutes. Withdrawing from play teaches him that he doesn't want to do that.

Two: Yelp like a hurt puppy and act like he REALLY hurt you. Shows that there's a consequence to nipping. It only took once doing that to get mine to stop.

Either way, be patient. They outgrow it.

FOUR WEEKS!!! How that hell did you get the puppy this young. Expect it to have major social problems thats for sure.

Anyways, with the biting. Whenever your finger comes in contact with your puppies teeth shove them under the tounge to gag the puppy. They puppy soon learns that it is uncomfortable to bite.

I guess you should continue saying no. You have to remember that he is still very young. Infact in our years he would be just a baby and has no understanding of right or wrong. He will develope this connection with time but you have to be patient. I guess around four months old the dog should be able to understand NO.
Just be patient for now and enjoy his puppy fun.

I hope this puppy is still with it's mother!!! This puppy is too small to be away from it's mother not to mention too small to discipline. Keep your fingers and arms away from it's mouth!! As far as him biting the other animals keep him away from them too, unless the other animals are his litter mates and therefore he is just learning how to interact.

I think he's teething. I would try a chew toy to give him. He'll decide that the chew toy has less negative effects than the fingers hands and arms. Good luck though.

Well, the puppy could be biting because its mouth hurts from teething, But when it does it, hit it on the nose and say no.
