It seems about $500 or so on the high side, which is about average for a certified used vehicle. I used kbb.com and I ran the quote (private party value) with popular equipment (automatic/PW/PL/Cruise). Deduct money for any of the above equipment not being in the car.

A CE is the bottom of the line Toyota Corolla, and is now a 2yr old car. The mileage is low, and you do get additional warranty. If you like the car, and will keep it for several years, this is an excellent and reliable choice. If you can get them to about a total of $13000 w/ all taxes and fees, that is about $250 a month for 5yrs at 6%. Stand firm on $250 a month and let them figure out the numbers.

Certified by whom?

By Toyota? OK, might be worth the premium price if there's an added warranty beyond the remaining factory warranty.

By the dealer? Nope, too high. "Dealer Certified" is meaningless hype.
