I've heard that the wax is not good for you. I mostly am asking for the green apples that I love to eat. Thanks.

There's not enough wax on them to hurt you but you can get it off by running hot water over it and cleaning them.

Well you cant really remove the wax coating from the fruits, unless you peel the skin off, then eat the fruit. The reason they put the wax is because these fruits are comming from other states, so by putting the wax over it, it seals in the color to make it look like it just been pick. I don't mean to ruin things for you, they that's not only wax on it, they put a bunch of chemicals before they coat it with the wax. I know this because I use to work for a chemical factory that did all that.

I put an apple in a cereal bowl and put hot water over it a couple of time (from the tea kettle or coffee maker).
You will be surprised how much wax comes off. Then the skin is softer and it is easier to eat. Although when I can't do that, I just peel them.

Put is a weak soluntion of one gallon water and 1/8 cup chlorine bleach. It will take the residues from wax and insecticides off

you may not. The wax is fit to be eaten and tasteless. I used to paintings for Decco, the corporation that manufactures ninety 9% of the citrus waxes. in case you purchase organic and organic, you will grate bugs and insect eggs into your dish.

I wash my fruit in warm soapy water,and then rinse it well in cold water..... Hope this helped
