No, just because the SE-R is considered a sports car, and the insurance rate is higher, and the temptation factor is higher. It just isn't worth the extra money and grief. You are better served by purchasing an older Sentra and making it a nice ride by using the money that you would have spent on insurance and tickets on a nice sound system, exhaust, wheels and tires, and maybe a nice set of seats. Make it your own and just cruise.

I have an Infiniti, which is the luxury division of Nissan, with more than 112K on it. There have been no major problems at all and if you'd drive it, you wouldn't know it had that many. Anyways, yeah the running costs would not drain your wallet especially if you take care of the car. I'd also recommend looking into the Ford Focus SVT, Volkswagen Jetta VR6, Dodge Neon SRT-4, Honda Civic Si, and the Subaru Impreza WRX. Good luck.
P.S. Make sure that when you get one of these road rockets you control yourself and not endanger others lives.

NO! The SE-R is a fast little car. I drove one for about a week and was impressed for the power behind that little car. For anyone under 20....i would go with an older model Nissan ,or Toyota thats in good shape but without the pep.(like a 1990 camry 4 cyl.)In the end you will save alot of money. People who drive around in fast little cars who arent experienced drivers usualy end up causing problems to the car ,such as,tires, sterring ,or early engine wear.

perfect for a young driver. And 4 doors if you get anything other than bright red or yellow. Silver is almost not there to police.
