A bit of background, this girl works in a shop I used to pop into, I'd asked her out several months before but she said she was sorry but was unavailable at the time. The next time I went in she apologised and said she felt bad, I just smiled and said basically 'well if you're taken then that's a pretty fair excuse'

I sent her a msg through MySpace, this was the main part:

First of all I asked you out as you have the most beautiful smile I have ever seen, straight up, it can totally light up a room. Couple that with the fact that you seem like a genuinely nice person then it seemed like a no brainer. Secondly, what you said to me the next time I came into the shop, honestly that was the nicest thing anyone has ever said to me, you showed yourself to be an extremely nice person and having read your MySpace you seem to think that you are ugly, well no bs but you are far from ugly, no-one with that smile and that face could be regarded as ugly in any way, shape or form.

Thoughts?

I think it's a lovely Email. You obviously like the girl a lot so go for it. Don't worry about other peoples negative opinions.....if you don't try something then you'll always be left wondering. I say Good Luck to you and well done for trying.
Merry Christmas x

I like most of what you said here but I think you might want to add one more thing. Women who have a low self esteem can not ever hear enough about how nice they are. But hearing how beautiful you think they are is over the top.

Try being more straight forward. This is just a suggestion but what would you think of this change?

You say: "and having read your MySpace you seem to think that you are ugly, well no bs but you are far from ugly, no-one with that smile and that face could be regarded as ugly in any way, shape or form."

How about this....or something more to your liking.

"and having read your MySpace it seems you think of yourself as ugly. Well I am hear to tell you that you are not only not ugly but with your smile and that face there is no way anyone would ever consider you that. To me you are very beautiful and I have always been attracted to you."

I hope that can be of some use to you.

I think she is probably really ****ed up in the head and I would stay away from her. Any woman who makes a myspace page and says she thinks she is ugly wants major attention. You do not want to be with a woman who has those types of self confidence problems. Trust me, you will not only spend a lot of time telling her how pretty she is, but it will take you months to get her out of her clothes and then probably only in the dark. A woman who is comfortable with herself is much easier to live with. Do you really want to marry a girl who thinks she is ugly? If not, then why waste your time? Unless you just want to get her in the sack and then how good can she be if she is spending all her time worrying about whether or not you saw the zits on her butt?

I think it's really sweet and you sound like a really nice person. Don't listen to those others - they sound very bitter and judgemental - probably never had a girlfriend in their lives.

You don't have to sound so .... FORMAL with her. You're saying all this fancy stuff like 'First of all' and 'secondly.' It sounds like you're trying to tell a story, or you're writing an essay.

But the idea is good. :-)
