For people who enjoy watching it, there are several reasons: 1) many find it sexually suggestive and therefore enjoy the connotation behind it. 2) many find it culturally expressive and intriguing. 3) some think it's just plain cool. For those who enjoy dancing in this manner, 1) some like to express themselves this way, 2) some find it to be a form of fun exercise, 3) some enjoy the cultural history behind it.

Belly Dancing is a very sensual form of dancing which mimics many of the motions an energetic woman might make when making love.
This should explain why many guys enjoy watching this form of dancing.

It's because of the way the person just moves their lower torso. It mysterious and sexy. And if you have a certain seductive look and your face while belly dancing it can really turn a person on.

Its all in the hips! Men and Women think its exotic and sexual in nature when a woman can move like a belly dancer. I know I do!
