What interests me is that no one seems to agree on what a posited existing Creator would be. If no one can agree on what God is, then how can anyone prove or disprove the existence of that God? No one ever defines the parameters of the search. Everyone assigns an arbitrary superlative to equate God to, and no one seems to agree on an objective definition. Before you can say there IS or IS NOT a God or Creator, you have to define what you are eliminating in your proof for or against. So, what IS this Creator, and can it even be equated to what Man understand in his limited capacity as a Being, rather than a Force or collection of forces? Just wondering how one would go about determining what to look for or eliminate before categorically stating there is or is no Creator...

I admit, I DON'T know,

But I will say this,

he is certainly not defined by anything in the Bible or any other religion.

You might be able to say, sure, there is the possibility of a God or some type of outside the universe Creator.
But when you start getting into the mystical fairy tales and superstitions which should have been laid to rest ages ago,
you just sound like crazy people,
If you want to win over unbelievers,
start getting up to date and revise your philosophies to be more in keeping with what we know is fact.

No possibility is a pretty broad concept. There's possibility of just about anything. It's possible there IS an Invisible Pink Unicorn and a Santa Clause. It's extremely unlikely, however, and I'm going to have go with the evidence. Or lack of evidence, in this case.

Same old, same old. Definitions, my friend.

"Weak" Atheist - The person lacks a belief in the existence of god(s).
"Strong" Atheist - The person believes that there is no god.

Note the difference. Very few people claim to be strong atheists. Personally, I'm as far to the strong side as I can while being logically sound - I believe there *probably* is no god.

As for the 'weak' atheist position, all they say is that the theist has not convinced them of the god hypothesis. They do not believe the argument. They make no claim to the contrary that there is no god.

Negatives cannot be proven. You cannot state "there is no possibility" with reference to anything. There is a nearly infinite number of things people can imagine that can't be proved. A person of reason will only recognize those things for which there is evidence or logical probability.

If the Creator can come about without intervention, why the hell would there need to be a Creator for anything else?

Because every concept of God I've heard is either so ridiculous (an all-powerful, all-knowing, and just being who fails to stop evil but watches you 24/7), or so all-encompassing that everything can be considered God. And just so you know, I've studied every major religion that is in practice today. Extensively.

If you don't know EVERYTHING in the universe...

Then how are you sure there is NO possibility of Zeus?

becuase it is illogical and there is no proof or any educated anything anywhere. science has educated theories and facts about things. the bible... which was written thousands of years ago by people even dumber than the motherfuckers in the world today... talks about an all powerful being that created everything... and has to rest? he gets tired? science is actual hard results and i like to believe in what i can see with my eyes.

The same way that you are so sure that there IS a Creator-- faith.

good point. the only PURELY logical stance on the situation is agnosticism - you can't prove there is a god, you can't prove there is not one. now this statement begs the question of the term "god" - and if your god is supernatural, then there really is no further argument on the subject because "supernatural" things cannot exist, and i accept the fact that you're atheist. can god be something physically explainable? maybe. maybe we just don't know enough to explain it.
