Do christians have an innate tendency to be tempted toward crime or is it that people with a tendency toward crime seek comfort in christ thinking that they will be absolved of their sins just by accepting a name though deeds hardly match? I'm not christian and and i'm not tempted toward bad things!

Why do you only give two negative options as though they were an exhaustive list of the possibilities? Is it to veil your obvious STATEMENT as a "Question"? Christians believe that Satan is the source of all misery in the world. Although people have free will endowed by God, Satan does his best every day to tempt us to stray from a righteous path, which we ALL do to varying degrees; Christians and non-Christians alike. Why do atheists always skip the teachings of Christianity that say that we are ALL sinners, not just non-Christians? More convenient to leave that out, I suppose, for the sake of your flawed and self-serving argument.

Also, what do you mean by "bad things"? I would venture to say that you and I, as Atheist vs. Christian, have very different definitions of bad things. You may view sexual promiscuity as a rite of passage; I view it as a bad and destructive force in the world that breeds only misery. You might think that abortion is no more serious than removing a leach from your skin. I view abortion as murder and an abomination against humanity. Those are just examples, but you get the idea.

Satan works by breeding discontent, despair, pessimism, and immorality, and it is only through man's weakness and sinful nature that Satan's efforts at temptation are successful. Then, Satan rewards those who obey him with heartache, failure, loneliness, illness and death. The ultimate successes of Satan are those like yourself who are so blinded by self-worship and moral-relativism that you can't even see God's love for you. Sadly, it seems that your continued criticism of Christianity is merely a manifestation of your inner turmoil and struggle to push away the inescapable truth of God's word. I will continue to pray for you and others like you.

If these are not beliefs that you subscribe to, then please at least stop bashing others who do believe them. The relentless attacks on Christians, the "target du jour", are getting a little tired.

PS - Nice dig; not capitalizing the word "christian"...I wonder...would you consider not capitalizing Islam, Judaism, Buddhism, et al? If you didn't capitalize them, I wonder if anyone would be offended and if that would matter to you more than MY offense matters, or doesn't matter, as is the case?

The biblical answer is clear, so Christians tend to take what is said about Satan's temptation at face value.

Because the Bible tells us that we will be tempted of the devil.
So for most Christians what the Bible states is true.

Jesus was tempted but He didn't give in and so we will be tempted also but we don't have to give in either.
