I have been in and out of the Wiccan belief becuase I was born a Mormon. I have studied and learned from the Wiccans. However, something doesn't sit right with me. I have noticed that some of the Wiccans have the Pentagram upside down, like as Satanic, what does that represent? Is it banishing? Because I thought it was that you belive more in the power of Fire and Air..?

Inverted pentacles are the symbol of the Second Degree in Gardenerian and Alexandrian traditions. :)

It represents descent into the Underworld to face your inner "demons" and personality flaws.

As many people have said, the upside-down pentagram is not Satanic. It's Satanic (which has nothing to do with Satan) IF it is draw as a goat's head. Some Wiccans like the upside-down Pentagram. Personally, to me I "feel" that the energy of the pentagram is flipped, which is a "feeling" that I'm not comfortable with. I certainly don't think it's evil by any stretch of the imagination, but it's not an energy flow that sits well with me.

I'm a Happy Pagan and I've noticed that Wiccans use the pentacle both ways and either one is fine. It doesn't matter. It'll only matter to *you* which way you put it. Wiccans do follow Fire, Water, Air, Earth, Spirit as the five elements on the five points. You care correct there and Wicca has absolutely nothing to do with Satansism. Don't let anyone tell you otherwise. I choose not to be Wiccan because I don't like ritual. I like talking to God in my own time in my own terms. Do what you're comfortable with, my son; just always let others do the same. Blessings.

I've heard that some denominations use it to symbolize a lower level witch, but most of them frown on this practice because the upside-down pentagram is associated with Satanism by non-Wiccans.

You can read all about the pentagram on wikipedia, but it means VERY different things to different people, even among Wiccans. Each person seems to have attached their own meaning to it, so the only way to know for sure what it means to an individual is to ask that person.

From what I have learned during my pagan studies is upside down pentacle is always satanic. If you want to draw a banishing pentacle you draw it from right to left, rather than left to right but it is always drawn top point up.

But just as there are many (and I mean MANY) pagan belief systems, I am sure there are just as many definitions the upside down pentacle, how to draw a banishing pentacle, etc.

we've not have been given any singular textual content or supposedly infallible e book to allure to from. There are some products of fabric that we come across useful for coaching others, yet no longer something that we can factor to and say, "it quite is our holy e book." As for information of our ideals being "authentic"...Wicca is a faith of adventure. we don't basically learn our ideals--we live them. We make each and every attempt to communicate to the Lord and lady and pay attention what they could desire to assert. We pass out to sense the sunlight on our faces, the wind in our hair, and the turning of the earth decrease than our ft. We carry out rituals with others and adventure the potential that rises and builds, at last washing out to alter the international, possibly basically a sprint, for the extra powerful. We see examples of "as above, so decrease than" and the regulation of three-fold return everywhere we seem. that's part of motives why Wiccans, even from those of an analogous custom, will all practice their faith somewhat in any different case. We each and each adventure the Goddess in a distinctive way, because of the fact we are unique beings. And this, i think, is to be inspired.

Um...sorta off topic, but what does being born a Mormon have to do with being in and out of the Wiccan belief?
