i know what you mean. the world seems really small sometimes. unfortunately i can't do my suggestion but if you have the means...
pick the first pleasant place that comes into your mind, buy a ticket and just go. tomorrow. even if it's just for a week.
and think of really random things you can do in ordinary life and do them without telling anyone - it's like having your own secret life. leave quotes in library books, leave a burned cd of beautiful music on a park bench, leave a few pence left over in a vending machine. you could end up affecting hundreds of lives without knowing it, which if you are bored is at at least an entertaining thought.

Do something different. Get involved with something meaningful.
Life becomes monotonous, and you can feel like you're trapped in the "rat race", just going and going and going, with no real purpose.
You ask yourself, "what's to gain from all of this"?

Indeed.

Meet new people, go to a club or a rave (not for drugs tho) try new music, get inspired by something.
Ask yourself, "How can I use my talents to help somebody?", then re-direct your life to accomplishing that goal.
Do something fun. Sometimes that feeling is just your mind's way of telling yourself that you need to reward yourself by letting loose a little. You're only as bored as you want to be.
Do something a little out of character for yourself. Do you pass by places on your way to work or school that you have wondered about, but never visited? So go there! There are literally small WORLDS of different culture and scenery right there in your own area code that you've never visted before.
Just like ordering the SAME thing every time you go to McDonalds gets OLD! And monotonous. All you have to do is try ordering something different, and you'll have something to tell your friends about.
Hey, have you ever been to....

Do something small yet different. Like get a dog or go see a new movie, throw a party. Do something like totally random and new. It doesn't have to be a big thing just something out of the ordinary.

Life is montonous. It is totally absurd and meaningless. Man is faced with this meaninglessness and he has three choices

a) To take a leap of faith - believe in God and find a meaning and activities there

b) To commit suicide

c) To revolt against this meaninglessness - to create meaning for yourself. Live in the moment. Act out your passions - without any hope
